Jane waits

There are moments where the world stands still – that stray dog who turns into family; the 4 year old who drops his mom’s hand and successfully navigates his way to the park; the perfect run down the perfect slope, carving wide lazy turns; the sun-soaked day on that beach in Greece. In that stillness, everything makes sense.

Jane’s world took a big turn – from shelter life to us. In the last week, she has figured out who we are and what we can offer. In return, she loves us. Pure and simple. Her heart is open. She asks for nothing.

When these dogs come to us, there’s always a period of eating a lot! Followed by sleep, so many hours of peaceful sleep.

And now, we make the world stand still while we wait for the next step in her process to finding her forever home. And everything makes sense.
