Beautiful Penne

This is the face that greets me every morning, and every time I get to spend time with this girl.
While I feel bad for her former family and the harship they were enduring that caused her to be abandoned, I focus on the dog in front of me. And this girl is a prize.
Her pups are 2 weeks old; I am grateful to have at least 6 more weeks with her. She’s a great mom. Every day, she shows me a little more of herself, not her mom-self, but the dog she will become, after her mom duties are over.
The potential is without limit!
And that is the joy of fostering. You get to recognize that potential and take it forward. You get to know the dog in front of you and meet that specific dog’s needs. You get to watch the transformation from unwanted or discarded or too much or scared, to loved and cherished and celebrated for who that dog is.
Penne will be available for adoption. Who might need a really nice little/medium dog?
